Founded in 1849 and now run by great grandsons of the original Pol Roger. A small and independent house based in Epernay with a loyal British following, they have built up 85 hectares since World War 2 to ensure quality. Winston Churchill insisted on Pol Roger, hence their cuvée Sir Winston Churchill with a black bordered label to mark his death, which is still produced in exceptional vintages. New packaging for their other wines is indicative of general modernisation.
