Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot Muiron. Antoine Müller developed rémuage for the House of Clicquot with the Veuve in 1811. Mme. Clicquot took over in 1805 and left the firm to a faithful employee, Edouard Werlé on her death in 1866. It now belongs to LVMH.
