A mixture of spice, strawberry fruit and a dollop of vanilla on this mellow and mature Reserva from Valdepeñas. After two years in barrel it is supple to the taste, with complexity and length. A good wine for stews, casseroles and cheeses.

Felix Solis S.A. is the main player in Valdepeñas now that Bodegas Los Llanos next door has lost its way. Founded in 1950 it is still run by Felix Solis, eldest son of the founder, and has expanded enormously in recent years, operating now from one of the most sophisticated wineries in the world, highly visible from the Madrid-Seville motorway. Concentrating on producing aged wines from predominantly Tempranillo (aka Cencibel in Valdepeñas) the quality:price ratio has always been exceptional, with some 500 hectares of vines under their independent control. Felix Solis is an ambitious company, consumer focused and quality driven, who is definitely the leader in its field.
