Alvarro Palacios trained at Château Pétrus and makes wine 'by hand' in the tiny mountain village of Gratallops, in a wild and remote part of Spain. The vineyards are steeply terraced with a thin, slatey topsoil. His 12 hectares are all at 350, or more, metres above sea level. Superlative quality.
