Enrique Forner founded the bodegas in 1970 bringing with him his expertise gained at his family's Bordeaux property, Château Camensac. With the help of Emile Peynaud, Forner chose the best sites, limited yields and introduced a new style of Rioja, with limited and careful oak aging.
