In the Press - thewinegang.com June 2011
Christoph Tyrell ferments his wines in stainless steel rather than oak to accentuate the blackcurrant fruit and elegance of the Ruwer. This is a lovely, pure wine with great clarity.
Press Comments
"Mineral, fruity, green-apple and white-peach aromas; very crisp and tangy with mouthwatering lime and orchard fruit on the palate. Racy and dry but balanced by a little sweetness (Feinherb wines are halbtrocken). 2009 was the first vintage by a new winemaker at Karthäuserhof. Judging by this wine and the estate's other 2009s that we've tasted, the new boy's done good; very good." (89) www.thewinegang.com - June 2011 ![]() Style: Off-dry
