Wofdietrich Salwey and his son, Konrad, split the vineyard work between them, with Wolfdietrich concentrating on his barriques and red wines and Konrad, on the whites. The vineyards are in Oberrotweil, on the slopes of the Kaiserstühl and in the Glottertal, a valley in the Black Forest about 30km away. The volcanic soils bring a lovely mineral character to all the wines, which are stylish and elegant.
