The Coffele Estate is family owned and operated. The company was formed in 1971 after the marriage of Giovanna Visco and Giuseppe Coffele in 1970. Historically the vineyards were the property of the Visco family. After their wedding Giovanna and Giuseppe gave up their teaching jobs to renovate the vineyards. The estate runs to some 75 acres in the heart of the Soave Classico region. It took 25,000 hours of labour in the vineyards to restore them to their former glory. All vineyard practices are very traditional, and all harvesting is by hand. Their son and daughter, Alberto (now the winemaker) and Chiara (marketing) complete the team.
