Jacky Janodet is a serious grower who ages his superb Moulin-à-Vent in oak barrels to give a wine that is very capable of maturing like good red Burgundy. Yet it is pretty in its youth when best accompanied by game or casseroles.

Jacky Janodet's estate consists of vines that are in excess of 50 years of age. His 7 hectares are on prime granite soil and he is one of the stars of Beaujolais. He uses small barrels for maturation and bottles in the spring following the harvest. His wines age beautifully and have fine structure.
