Nicolas Potel is a young négociant with access to many top vineyards up and down the Côte d'Or. He is the son of Gérard Potel who was manager and a shareholder of La Pousse d'Or. Nicolas' reputation is growing by the vintage and his skills are undisputed. He aims for purity and terroir in his wines. Nicolas used to produce a staggering selection of different wines, nowdays he is focussing on a smaller number enabling him to monitor each more closely. His activities are financed by large négoces, Labouré-Roi, but he is left alone to make his brilliant wines.
