Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er cru La Dominode
Bruno Clair 2004 | Bin 18794
£34.70
Region
Made from extremely old vines most of which are over 100 years old! This gives it immense concentration and a satin texture that you would normally find in 1er cru Vosne- Romanée. Its price above other Savignys is well justified.

Producer Profile...
Although the Clair family have been vignerons in Marsannay since the 18th century, the domaine really took shape in the 1930s. After a complicated family feud Bruno set out alone and now looks after 23 hectares. He has superb vineyards in Morey, Chambolle, a 100 year old plot in Savigny, and of course Marsannay. One of the best winemakers in Burgundy he also produces wines under his mother's maiden name 'Bartet'.
