Situated at the northern end of the southern part of the Rhône Valley, above the village of Valréas at an altitude of about 300 metres, it's northernly position gives the Syrah wines common ground with the wines of the northern Rhône. The 20 hectares are well sheltered from the Mistral by the surrounding hills. The winemaking side was in the hands of Xavier Tronc up until the 2006 vintage, who did much work in the vineyards to improve ripeness.
