Robert and Kim Cripps made wine in California before setting up in the Languedoc in 1994, producing characterful reds from local grape varieties. Low yield, unfiltered, barrel- aged fruit just oozes depth and class. A real gem!

Poujol was bought in 1994 by Robert Cripps and his American wife Kim, along with Robert's parents, Dick and Ann. Together they have concentrated on producing wines from local grape varieties, grafting new rootstock if appropriate. They have 18 hectares are under vine and the remaining 30 growing lavender.
