Fixin is almost next door to Gevrey-Chambertin and offers good value like this very approachable, early drinking wine from Bernard Bouvier. The tannins are sweet and ripe, the oak is integrated and the fruit is dark and ample.

![]() ![]() ![]() Producer Profile...
Bernard Bouvier is in his late 30s and is the fourth generation of his family to run this 17 hectare estate. Originally based in Gevrey, head office is now in Marsannay, but the change of venue has done nothing to dull the enthusiasm France has for this talented man. He aims to reflect each terroir and each vintage by keeping yields low, working the vineyards as environmentally as possible, and keeping new oak in check.
