With the complexity and concentration of a 1er cru, this is more than benchmark Puligny. The fruit is explosive yet subtle and focused. All Domaine Leflaive wines are produced biodynamically following Rudolf Steiner's methods.

The Leflaive family own 21 hectares and had a very fine reputation in 1960s and '70s. Since Pierre Morey took over as régisseur there has been a steady return to greatness, most notably since 1995. The property has been bio-dynamic since 1997, and has used no herbicides in the vineyard for 14 years. Ploughing and no artificial fertilisers make the estate's vines particularly deep-rooted, helping to shape this great estate's powerful and complex wines.
