This 24 hectare estate is situated at Banyuls-sur-Mer on the Mediterannean coast very close to the Spanish border. It is run by Marc and Thierry Parcé who inherited the family estate in 1984. It was mainly built up by their great grandmother who ran it for 50 years until 1969. Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Grenache Gris grapes are planted in 30 different parcels at altitudes from sea level to 400 metres and all are vinified seperately. Many of the vines are over fifty years old, yields are low and planting densities high. Small amounts of white and rosé are produced, the majority being Collioure red, the top cuvées fermented in barrel, and Banyuls made by the addition of alcohol to stop the fermentation. Some of the Banyuls cuvées accentuate the fruit character, others are more oxidative.
