Producer Profile...
Viña Carmen in Alto Jahuel, Maipo Valley, was founded by Christian Lanz in 1850, and named after his wife. With 525 hectares under vine, is at the forefront of viticultural developments in Chile and uses traditional methods with the best technology available. Significant investment at the winery has allowed experimentation with lesser known grape varieties, and they are producing some excellent wines. They are at the forefront of large scale organic production with their Nativa range of wines. The winemaking team under Maria Pilar del Gonzalez show a real talent for capturing wonderfully vibrant, sweet expressive fruit.
