Located in Oregon’s Willamette Valley in the Chehalem Mountains, this estate is named after the Willakenzie soil on which the vineyards are planted. They specialise in Pinots, the cool climate of this region being idea for these varieties. Bernard Lacroute and his wife Ronni founded the estate in 1992. 102 acres of the estate are planted with vines. The vineyards are managed sustainably using organic products. The winery was added in 1995 and is state of the art gravity fed, and there is a naturally cooled underground cellar for storage. They have a very traditional, hands-off, approach to the winemaking and produce about 18,000 cases a year.
