From a particular parcel of vines on blue clay over limesone comes this wonderfully intense and concentrated wine. Rich, round and supple there is great generosity of fruit.

![]() ![]() ![]() Producer Profile...
André Roméro runs his 28 hectare Domaine La Soumade in Rasteau with the help of his son Frédéric, and consultant oenologist Stéphane Derenoncourt from Bordeaux. Yields are very low and many of the Grenache vines in particular, over 100 years old. His new cellars have allowed him to increase the amount of oak he gives some of his wines. His wines are juicy, with rich fruit, great concentration and superb structure.
