Part of the Concha y Toro empire, yet fiercely independent (as you’d expect from an Argentinian company controlled by its Chilean neighbour!), the Trivento bodega is situated in the Maipu district of Mendoza. Crucial to the success of its vineyards is the proximity of the Rio Mendoza, which brings the melt waters of the Andes to the dry, stony soils of the San Martin sub-region. Trivento has a modern set-up and modern approach, with new stainless steel vats, the latest fermentation technologies and an impressive resource of 3,400 French and American oak barrels. Chief winemaker, Frederico Galdeano is a local Mendocino who grew up in Lulunta in the home of his grandfather, also a winemaker. His wines are bright, juicy and focused, giving you lovely ripe flavours at very attractive prices.
