A Danish liqueur made from the distillate of the caraway seed and other spices including cumin and fennel. It has strong digestif qualities. It has hints of liquorice and a touch of sweetness, but with a clean and fresh finish.

Based in Holland, but established in Latvia back in 1847 and best known for its Vodka. Wolfschmidt Kummel is made following an old Danish recipe. A reference is first made to Kummel distillation by a Lucas Bols in 1575 and was allegedly taken into Russia in the late 17th century by Peter the Great. Now owned by Jim Beam.
