The Sipsmiths are Fairfax Hall, Sam Galsworthy and Jared Brown. Established in 2009 theirs is the first still to be launched in London since 1820. Their background is in the drinks industry including stints at Fuller’s Brewery and with Diageo. They are based in Hammersmith in a building that is the former home of the late Whisky expert Michael Jackson, prior to that it was a micro brewery for a local pub. Their still, called 'Prudence', is brand new and was built in Germany to their unique design by a small family firm. They distil in very small batches, approximately 200 bottles at a time and you can trace each lot via their website. The Gin is a traditional London Dry Gin using ten botanicals including Juniper, Coriander, Orange peel and Lemon peel. The Sloe Gin is the same gin in which hand picked Wild Sloes have been steeped.
