The Gwalia Distillery is in the village of Penderyn in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The distillery is well supplied with local water which contributes to the noticeably smooth style of all the spirits that are produced here. Purpose-built the first distillation was put in cask in 2000. Produced in limited quantities they make the only true Welsh Malt whisky.
