  Established in 1779 Bowmore stands on the shores of Loch Indaal. A slightly lighter style of Bowmore, the 12 YO has whiffs of burnt heather, peat, iodine and chocolate which lead into a smooth, smoky, palate filled with phenolics.

This is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries and was built in 1779. It production methods are very traditional and they still use their own malting floor - very rarely in Scotland now. It is also the first distillery to become wholly Japanese owned.
