From entirely malted barley, this has a very fruity nose of apple, plum and citrus with notes of malt. The palate is oily with citrus, spice and touches of chocolate. A delicious vatting of five year old malts.

![]() ![]() ![]() Producer Profile...
The only independent Irish owned distillery in Ireland, founded in 1987 by John Teeling, in reaction to the decline of Irish Whiskey and a desire to reverse the trend. Since its inception Cooley’s have won numerous awards including, in 1998, a trophy for outstanding achievement to the spirit industry. They produce a range of blended and Single Malt Whiskies including: Locke’s Irish blend with a light, floral sweetness and a honeyed fruity palate; Tyrconnell, a beguiling cross between spiciness and lightness; Connemara, unusually, peated to give added complexity more body and a glorious peat explosion on the finish. All of Cooley’s whiskies are double distilled, not triple as with other Irish whiskies, leaving more complexity and flavour in the bottle.
