A glorious nose of intense peat, floral with heather and honey. Then oily, sweet honey, molasses and malt, vanilla, chocolate and long, rumbling peat. Ireland's only peated malt, hugely complex and show-stoppingly brilliant.

![]() ![]() ![]() Producer Profile...
The only independent Irish owned distillery in Ireland, founded in 1987 by John Teeling, in reaction to the decline of Irish Whiskey and a desire to reverse the trend. Since its inception Cooley’s have won numerous awards including, in 1998, a trophy for outstanding achievement to the spirit industry. They produce a range of blended and Single Malt Whiskies including: Locke’s Irish blend with a light, floral sweetness and a honeyed fruity palate; Tyrconnell, a beguiling cross between spiciness and lightness; Connemara, unusually, peated to give added complexity more body and a glorious peat explosion on the finish. All of Cooley’s whiskies are double distilled, not triple as with other Irish whiskies, leaving more complexity and flavour in the bottle.
