Vodka is a neutral spirit distilled from a base of grain, potato or molasses. Almost always distilled in a continuous still and filtered through activated charcoal, vodka is particularly pure and flavourless. Predominantly a cocktail ingredient, vodka is being more and more appreciated on its own, very often at almost frozen temperatures. The flavoured examples make for particularly interesting drinking.
