Good raspberry and strawberry aromas and flavours, uplifted by a judicious amount of soft creamy American oak. A hint of smokiness on the palate with good rich fruit, the finish is showing good mature characteristics.

2011	A warm spring was followed by a very hot summer; drought may well be a problem in some regions.

2010	Cooler than 2009 so better balance; favourable weather at harvest means some terrific wines.

2009	Hot conditions produced high alcohol and colour, but better than 2003. Excellent in general.

2008	Issues with a cool summer and fungal diseases produced good, but elegant wines, grower-dependent.

2007	30% less yields due to spring cold and frost, very good but patchy in all areas. Uneven.

2006	Mixed again, an August heatwave mitigated in the north by September rains - good to very good.

2005	Quantities were down in the north but the quality excellent.

2004	Mixed results with good September weather improving things everywhere. Good to very good.

2003	Saw good quality and quantity in Rioja.

2002	The wines were of reasonable quality escaping the rain seen elsewhere in Europe.

2001	Is a great vintage in Rioja.

2000	Average quality but good quantity.

1999	Good quality with frost damage reducing yields.

1998	Good quality was produced but the quantity was low.

1997	Harvest was rain affected so quality and quantity was down.

1996	A late harvest saw good quality and quantity.

1995	A superb harvest with very ripe grapes.

1994	Saw a good vintage with well-structured wines.

1993	Was a wet vintage leading to lighter easy drinking wine.

1992	Rain was a problem again but some good wines from early pickings were made.

1991	The quality was excellent.

1990	Superb quality with mild, low acidity reds.

Delivery in Mainland UK

Delivery is FREE on orders of £90 or more to a single address in mainland UK.
£7.95 post & packing applies per delivery address for orders under £90.

Dozens, half dozens and 1,2 & 3 packs minimize packaging waste.

Unless advised otherwise, you will normally receive your delivery within two working days*, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
Please contact us should this not be the case.
*You should allow three working days for delivery to the Scottish Highlands.

Please note: We operate a signature service on all deliveries.
Goods can be left unsigned for, but you must specify this during checkout, with instructions on where to leave the goods should you be out.
Any goods that have been left according to instruction and not delivered over the recipients threshold are left at the senders risk

- Next Week Day Delivery by 12 noon is charged at a flat rate of £12.
Orders for Next Day delivery must be received by 2pm on the preceding week day (excluding bank holidays) so that we have time to pack them.

- Saturday Delivery by 12 noon is charged at a flat rate of £20.
Orders for Saturday Delivery must be received by 2pm on Friday afternoon (or by 2pm on Thursday before the Easter weekend).

- Tasting Ticket(s) will be despatched by First Class Royal Mail (free of charge) to your selected delivery address within 2 working days of placing your order.

We always do our very best to achieve our stated delivery times but please note we can not be responsible for circumstances beyond Tanners control including, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions and supplier & carrier difficulties.

Delivery to other areas - additional charges

- Deliveries to the Isle of Wight are £5 per case
- Northern Ireland and Scilly Isles are £10 per case
- The main Scottish Islands and Isle of Man are £15 per case.

You should allow up to 6 working days for delivery to these areas.

Despatches to the Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland, the EU and elsewhere are by individual arrangement and are not orderable online.
Due to the customs paperwork involved we do not normally consider despatches of less than 10 cases. Please contact us regarding delivery abroad or call us on 01743 234455.

Gift Delivery

Multiple address checkout is now available and can be achieved by clicking on 'Deliver my order to several addresses' on the basket page. Please remember that if you select this option, the relevant delivery charges will be added per address. Our delivery charges are detailed below. (Please note you cannot pay by PayPal if you use the 'multiple address' checkout.)

Please note when sending gifts that addresses must be accurate, particularly for recipients at large organisations. Don’t forget to include a daytime phone number and 'Delivery Address Instructions' at checkout on where to leave the goods if the recipient is out; if you don’t the driver will leave a card to which the recipient will have to respond.

Finally, if an item is out of stock, to ensure a timely delivery, we will substitute with a similar item of equal or higher value (unless requested not to do so in your order’s delivery instructions.)

Returns

If you don’t like any wine that you buy from us, for whatever reason, return it within a month of purchase and we shall refund your money without question or delay.

Refunds for Tasting Tickets: If you need to arrange a refund at any time prior to us posting your ticket(s), please ring 01743 234455. Once we've posted the ticket(s), if you are unable to attend for any reason, please let us know as soon as you can and wherever possible, we will attempt to resell your ticket(s) on your behalf.

Please note that once we've despatched them, refunds can only be issued in the instance that we are able to resell your ticket(s).

Claims
