Marlborough
The remarkable commercial success of Sauvignon Blanc has certainly put this region on the map. At Tanners, however, we do not let this distract from the excellent quality we have found from producers like Sam Weaver. His Sauvignon Blanc is an elegant Sancerre-style wine, which really expresses the character and finesse of the grape. Mudhouse and Jackson Estate excel at a contrasting style of Sauvignon Blanc for those who prefer more intense and pungent tropical flavours. Marlborough is also widely planted with Pinot Noir, exemplified in the Tanners range by Churton.
