Chile
Winning plenty of awards, and with sales still driving innovation, it is pleasing to report an increasing variety of styles in the range, from the simple, juicy wines, through more complex, but very affordable middle range wines to the most powerful, dense, top end stars. Chile focuses on the valleys to bring variety to the table and many of the wines are now very food-friendly. From the hot Elqui Valley in the North, through Leyda and Casablanca - cooled significantly by sea breezes - to the sloping terraces of Maipo Alto, the regions are starting to develop their own identities. And encouragingly not just the blockbuster styles enjoyed by the US consumer - there is plenty of finesse in this range for Tanners customers!
