Tanners House Champagnes
All three of Tanners Champagnes, our house, spécial and rosé are supplied by Beaumont des Crayères, based in Mardeuil, a village west of Epernay. A highly impressive small co-operative of about 250 growers, with 90 ha under direct control of award-winning champagne maker, Jean-Paul Berthus, the vineyards are mostly located around the village in the Marne Valley. Pinot Meunier is the main grape variety grown - it performs extremely well on the cooler north-facing slopes and makes wines with a lovely soft fruity expression.
