The home of Denis Dubourdieu who pioneered modern-style, dry Graves, Doisy-Daëne also produces an excellent Sauternes. This has elegant fruit with a hint of oak. Consistently good.

Roast poussin with sage and onion farce and seasonal vegetables

2011	A more mixed picture with some good wines being produced by the better, more careful growers.

2010	Another excellent vintage, which may prove better than the much-lauded 2009 vintage

2009	An outstanding year without extremes of weather, now being spoken of as one of the very best. Approachable in their youth, yet with the density and structure to last.

2008	A tricky vintage initially dismissed by many, but the Right Bank in particular has come on well. Some very good mid-term wines were made, overlooked in the hype of 2009s on the horizon.

2007	Another cool vintage, but some good, early drinking, fruity if light styles. You had to choose very carefully but there is excellent drinking here. Sauternes in contrast was almost 2001 standard.

2006	Extremes of weather caused problems. The best properties made very good wines, and they look good value against 2005. Dry whites were however outstanding.

2005	A superb, possibly legendary vintage when everything came together. Concentrated, evolving into a classic, the top wines should age for a very long time.

2004	A classic vintage with ripe tannin and fresh fruit. The wines will keep well provided the grower had reduced his yields. Very good, dry whites and mid-term, fresh Sauternes.

2003	Big, powerful reds came out of the heatwave, where Saint-Estèphe, northern Médoc and the Right Bank shine. Rich opulent sweet wines. Both are drinking earlier than predicted.

2002	Needing time to soften, these are attractive, well-structured wines with a classic feel. Lesser names are perfect to drink now.

2001	In the shadow of 2000, a mid-term drinker that is showing lovely balance and charm, although you should keep the ‘cru’ clarets longer. Sauternes is a wonderful, classic vintage, sheer class and made for keeping.

2000	Consistent and excellent clarets, which are long-term wines. Lesser names are showing very well now. Dry whites good too.

1999	A good, typical vintage, which is drinking well across the board.

1998	A ‘Merlot’ year with Right Bank and some Médoc properties based on Merlot drinking well too.

1990	A great vintage that produced rich, concentrated wines, starting to show themselves now.

1989	Big wines that are coming round well now.

1983	Elegant and long, these clarets are lovely mature wines now.

1982	A superb vintage, the best continuing to age remarkably well.

Unless advised otherwise, you will normally receive your delivery within two working days*, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.

*You should allow three working days for delivery to the Scottish Highlands.

Please note: We operate a signature service on all deliveries.
Goods can be left unsigned for, but you must specify this during checkout, with instructions on where to leave the goods should you be out.
Any goods that have been left according to instruction and not delivered over the recipients threshold are left at the senders risk

- Next Week Day Delivery by 12 noon is charged at a flat rate of £12.
Orders for Next Day delivery must be received by 2pm on the preceding week day (excluding bank holidays) so that we have time to pack them.

- Saturday Delivery by 12 noon is charged at a flat rate of £20.
Orders for Saturday Delivery must be received by 2pm on Friday afternoon (or by 2pm on Thursday before the Easter weekend).

- Tasting Ticket(s) will be despatched by First Class Royal Mail (free of charge) to your selected delivery address within 2 working days of placing your order.

We always do our very best to achieve our stated delivery times but please note we can not be responsible for circumstances beyond Tanners control including, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions and supplier & carrier difficulties.

Delivery to other areas - additional charges

- Deliveries to the Isle of Wight are £5 per case
- Northern Ireland and Scilly Isles are £10 per case
- The main Scottish Islands and Isle of Man are £15 per case.

You should allow up to 6 working days for delivery to these areas.

Despatches to the Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland, the EU and elsewhere are by individual arrangement and are not orderable online.
Due to the customs paperwork involved we do not normally consider despatches of less than 10 cases. Please contact us regarding delivery abroad or call us on 01743 234455.

Gift Delivery

Multiple address checkout is now available and can be achieved by clicking on 'Deliver my order to several addresses' on the basket page. Please remember that if you select this option, the relevant delivery charges will be added per address. Our delivery charges are detailed below. (Please note you cannot pay by PayPal if you use the 'multiple address' checkout.)

Please note when sending gifts that addresses must be accurate, particularly for recipients at large organisations. Don’t forget to include a daytime phone number and 'Delivery Address Instructions' at checkout on where to leave the goods if the recipient is out; if you don’t the driver will leave a card to which the recipient will have to respond.

Finally, if an item is out of stock, to ensure a timely delivery, we will substitute with a similar item of equal or higher value (unless requested not to do so in your order’s delivery instructions.)

Returns

If you don’t like any wine that you buy from us, for whatever reason, return it within a month of purchase and we shall refund your money without question or delay.

Refunds for Tasting Tickets: If you need to arrange a refund at any time prior to us posting your ticket(s), please ring 01743 234455. Once we've posted the ticket(s), if you are unable to attend for any reason, please let us know as soon as you can and wherever possible, we will attempt to resell your ticket(s) on your behalf.

Please note that once we've despatched them, refunds can only be issued in the instance that we are able to resell your ticket(s).

Claims
