The Pallavicini family has been in Lazio since the 17th century and closely involved with agriculture for much of this time. Today Maria Camilla Pallavicini and her sons Sigieri and Moroello have 78 hectares of vines split between the hills to the south of Rome and the Mediterranean coast next to the Tuscan border. The wines are made by Carlo Roveda. Traditional Italian varieties such as Trebbiano and Sangiovese are grown as well as international varieties. The main cellars are next to the principal vineyard holding at Colonna south of Rome and grapes are imported into a 17th century building which also provides ideal conditions for the barrel cellars. Care is taken to ensure a low environmental impact.
Excellent for Barolos and Barbarescos, Chianti and Tuscan reds; southern reds have fared very well; otherwise a mixed picture.
A generally good vintage but with decreased quantities. Some excellent wines in Piedmont and Tuscany.
A good hot year so yields are down, growers need to be careful to sort
raisin grapes and not to over extract.
Good in the South and good in Piedmont, elsewhere a little patchy.

If it looks like a gift, a label will be put on the top of the outer carton reading 'I am a Christmas Gift' to suggest to the recipient that they may wish to wait before opening it. Sending the gifts at this stage in December allows us time to try and resolve any delivery issues that may arise.
Please note when sending gifts that addresses must be accurate, particularly for recipients at large organisations. Don’t forget to include a daytime phone number and 'Delivery Address Instructions' at checkout on where to leave the goods if the recipient is out i.e. 'If out leave with neighbour'. If you don’t leave an instruction, the driver will leave a card to which the recipient will have to respond and it will result in a delay to your delivery.

Delivery in Mainland UK
Delivery is FREE on orders of £95 or more to a single address in mainland UK. £7.95 post & packing applies per delivery address for orders under £95.
Unless advised otherwise (and with the exception of Christmas Gifts where you have not specified a date required), you will normally receive your delivery within two working days*, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Please contact us should this not be the case. *You should allow three working days for delivery to the Scottish Highlands.
Please note: We operate a signature service on all deliveries. Goods can be left unsigned for, but you must specify this during checkout, with instructions on where to leave the goods should you be out. Any goods that have been left according to instruction and not delivered over the recipients threshold are left at the senders risk
- Next Week Day Delivery by 12 noon is charged at a flat rate of £12. Orders for Next Day delivery must be received by 2pmon the preceding week day (excluding bank holidays) so that we have time to pack them.
- Saturday Delivery by 12 noon is charged at a flat rate of £20. Orders for Saturday Delivery must be received by 2pm on Friday afternoon (or by 2pm on Thursday before the Easter weekend).
- Tasting Ticket(s) will be despatched by First Class Royal Mail (free of charge) to your selected delivery address within 2 working days of placing your order.

Delivery to other areas - additional charges
- Deliveries to the Isle of Wight are £5 per case - Northern Ireland and Scilly Isles are £10 per case - The main Scottish Islands and Isle of Man are £15 per case.
You should allow up to 6 working days for delivery to these areas.
Despatches to the Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland, the EU and elsewhere are by individual arrangement and are not orderable online. If you don’t like any wine that you buy from us, for whatever reason, return it within a month of purchase and we shall refund your money without question or delay.
Refunds for Tasting Tickets: If you need to arrange a refund at any time prior to us posting your ticket(s), please ring 01743 234455. Once we've posted the ticket(s), if you are unable to attend for any reason, please let us know as soon as you can and wherever possible, we will attempt to resell your ticket(s) on your behalf.
Please note that once we've despatched them, refunds can only be issued in the instance that we are able to resell your ticket(s).
