Moselland is the product of ongoing mergers between cooperative wineries in Rheinland-Pfalz and, in 2000, with the co-op in Nahe. Today, 3290 member growers supply the winery with grapes from 2350 hectares of steep, labour-intensive vineyard in Mosel-Saar-Ruhr, Nahe, Pfalz and Rheinhessen. Half this area is planted with Riesling and consequently Moselland is currently one of the largest producers of Riesling worldwide. Standards are high with modern wine-making techniques and highly automated methods in their warehouse at Bernkastel. Pallets move around without a human in sight!
Described by one grower as ‘a dream vintage’; all styles made all excellent
and yields up a little on 2009 and 2010.
A good year with concentrated wines with high acidity and great minerality.
A fine harvest in excellent conditions, not much botrytis but plenty
More Kabinett-style wines this year after a low yielding late harvest.
Outstanding for all styles with great weight and freshness.
A very good vintage with most wines at Spatlese or Auslese level.
Another excellent vintage with good quantities of botrytis wines also.
Produced very good typical Kabinett and Spätlese wines.
Lots of rich powerful wines were produced in 2003 with a lot of higher
Rain at the crucial time ruined hope of a great vintage but still very
good particularly in the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer.
A superb vintage, particularly in the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer.
Broke the run of top quality German vintages although a lot of good
Kabinetts were made.
This vintage saw a big crop but also very good quality with a lot of
QmP wines right up to TBA.
Not quite as good as the previous four years but nevertheless, superbly
rich wines have been produced in the Rhine vineyards.
A fine hot summer followed by fine weather during the Riesling vintage
resulted in some exciting wines.
A mixed vintage, especially at the lower end. Those who were brave and
harvested very late will have made some exceptional wines.
Produced fine QmP wine, especially in the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer; rich, fat
A classic vintage for long term ageing in both Mosel and Rhine; lots
of fruit and acidity.
Produced good wines, especially Mosel-Saar-Ruwer.
Produced fine, especially QmP wine from the Rhine.
Reasonable quality, mainly QbA, some good QmP in both Rhine and Mosel.
A superb vintage in both Rhine and Mosel for long-term ageing.

Cases/gifts selected from the Christmas Gifts range and any other orders for delivery to a third party accompanied by a Christmas Gift message will be despatched by default from 13th December, unless you instruct us otherwise by leaving a delivery instruction at checkout.
A label will put on the top of the outer carton reading 'I am a Christmas Gift' to suggest to the recipient that they may wish to wait before opening it. Sending the gifts at this stage in December allows us time to try and resolve any delivery issues that may arise.
Please note when sending gifts that addresses must be accurate, particularly for recipients at large organisations. Don’t forget to include a daytime phone number and 'Delivery Address Instructions' at checkout on where to leave the goods if the recipient is out i.e. 'If out leave with neighbour'. If you don’t leave an instruction, the driver will leave a card to which the recipient will have to respond and it will result in a delay to your delivery.
Multiple address checkout is now available and can be achieved by clicking on 'Deliver my order to several addresses' on the basket page. Please remember that if you select this option, the relevant delivery charges will be added per address. Our delivery charges are detailed below. (Please note you cannot pay by PayPal if you use the 'multiple address' checkout.)
Should you wish to speak to a Wine Adviser in person or require a large number of Corporate Gifts delivered to multiple addresses, you may like to read our Corporate Services Page.
Finally, if an item is out of stock, to ensure a timely delivery, we will substitute with a similar item of equal or higher value (at no additional cost), unless requested not to do so in your order’s delivery instructions.
