This is a 625 hectare estate located in the western fringes of the Transylvania/Banat region near the city of Timisoara in the west of the country. Wine has been produced here continuously since 1477 but it has been completely replanted in the past ten years and a state of the art winery built which was completed in 2010. The wines are made by Australian Hartley Smithers and Spaniard Nora Iriate who have worked with local viticulturists and winemakers over the past 7 years to create modern, fruit driven wines. Whites are harvested early in the morning and fermented in stainless steel to maintain freshness, part of the Pinot undergoes carbonic maceration and the rest is very lightly oaked. They are environmentally conscious, having the most up to date waste water re-processing plant in Central Europe - and everything is conducted in a high quality, modern, attention to detail way.
Amazingly vivid with bright, aromatic lemon and pear fruit, this is a fine all-purpose dry white. If only more pinot grigio was like this…

I don't think there is a better value bottle of white wine on the market. Everyone we have ever offered this to has initially gone...Romania?...and then they tried it and loved it because it's a great quality wine. Thank you Tanners for opening my (and my friends eyes) to a great wine.

Unless advised otherwise (and with the exception of Christmas Gifts where you have not specified a date required), you will normally receive your delivery within two working days*, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Goods can be left unsigned for, but you must specify this during checkout, with instructions on where to leave the goods should you be out. - Next Week Day Delivery by 12 noon is charged at a flat rate of £12. Orders for Next Day delivery must be received by 2pmon the preceding week day (excluding bank holidays) so that we have time to pack them.
- Saturday Delivery by 12 noon is charged at a flat rate of £20. Orders for Saturday Delivery must be received by 2pm on Friday (or by 2pm on Thursday before the Easter weekend).
- Tasting Ticket(s) will be despatched by First Class Royal Mail (free of charge) to your selected delivery address within 2 working days of placing your order.
We always do our very best to achieve our stated delivery times but please note we can not be responsible for circumstances beyond Tanners control including, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions and supplier & carrier difficulties.
Please note when sending gifts that addresses must be accurate, particularly for recipients at large organisations. Don’t forget to include a daytime phone number and 'Delivery Address Instructions' at checkout on where to leave the goods if the recipient is out i.e. 'If out leave with neighbour'. If you don’t leave an instruction, the driver will leave a card to which the recipient will have to respond and it will result in a delay to your delivery.
Multiple address checkout is now available and can be achieved by clicking on 'Deliver my order to several addresses' on the basket page. Please remember that if you select this option, the relevant delivery charges will be added per address. Our delivery charges are detailed below. (Please note you cannot pay by PayPal if you use the 'multiple address' checkout.)

Finally, if an item is out of stock, to ensure a timely delivery, we will substitute with a similar item of equal or higher value (at no additional cost), unless requested not to do so in your order’s delivery instructions.
Delivery to other areas - additional charges
- Deliveries to the Isle of Wight are £5 per case - Northern Ireland and Scilly Isles are £10 per case - The main Scottish Islands and Isle of Man are £15 per case.
You should allow up to 6 working days for delivery to these areas.
Please note: we do not export from the UK.
If you don’t like any wine that you buy from us, for whatever reason, return it within a month of purchase and we shall refund your money without question or delay.
Refunds for Tasting Tickets: If you need to arrange a refund at any time prior to us posting your ticket(s), please ring 01743 234455. Once we've posted the ticket(s), if you are unable to attend for any reason, please let us know as soon as you can and wherever possible, we will attempt to resell your ticket(s) on your behalf.
Please note that once we've despatched them, refunds can only be issued in the instance that we are able to resell your ticket(s).
