Val d'Orbieu is primarily a marketing organisation for many co-operatives and domaines across France. Part of the L Cordier group they are based in Narbonne. Formed in 1967, they are the largest producer of still wine in France. A collection of 18 co-operatives with 9000 hectares of vines.
Things are looking very promising. Whites fresh and crisp, the reds
The smallest crop for 100 years, but very good. August was hot in the
day and cool at night giving great balance to these wines.
Another small harvest particularly for the whites but low yields has
led to concentrated wines.
A more difficult vintage, both cooler and wetter than usual but tannins
are soft and well balanced.
Good vintage for whites with good fruit and balance the reds are forward
with fresh fruit character.
Wow! This wine is a revelation, produced to a price it punches well above it's weight. One of our best wines under a tenner and I am not just saying that... honest!

I'm really pleased with the way this has turned out. We changed supplier with the 2010 vintage and were treated to a great, lush wine from a warm vintage, full of fruit. 2012 has also turned out really well and has developed wonderful balance with warm fruit and hints of spice that leaves you wanting more.

From 11th December, all orders placed online will be prepared for immediate despatch (unless you instruct us otherwise by leaving a delivery instruction at checkout). The majority of deliveries are usually made within 2 working days but due to the exceptionally high volume of orders going through our warehouse, please allow 3 working days before querying your delivery.
For gift deliveries to a third party, a label will put on the top of the outer carton reading 'I am a Christmas Gift' to suggest to the recipient that they may wish to wait before opening it. Sending the gifts now allows us time to try and resolve any delivery issues that may arise.
Please note when sending gifts that addresses must be accurate, particularly for recipients at large organisations. Don’t forget to include a daytime phone number and 'Delivery Address Instructions' at checkout on where to leave the goods if the recipient is out i.e. 'If out leave with neighbour'. If you don’t leave an instruction, the driver will leave a card to which the recipient will have to respond and it will result in a delay to your delivery.
Multiple address checkout is now available and can be achieved by clicking on 'Deliver my order to several addresses' on the basket page. Please remember that if you select this option, the relevant delivery charges will be added per address. Our delivery charges are detailed below. (Please note you cannot pay by PayPal if you use the 'multiple address' checkout.)

Delivery in Mainland UK
Delivery is FREE on orders of £90 or more to a single address in mainland UK. £7.95 post & packing applies per delivery address for orders under £90.
Unless advised otherwise (and with the exception of Christmas Gifts where you have not specified a date required), you will normally receive your delivery within two working days*, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Please contact us should this not be the case. *You should allow three working days for delivery to the Scottish Highlands.
Please note: We operate a signature service on all deliveries. Goods can be left unsigned for, but you must specify this during checkout, with instructions on where to leave the goods should you be out. Any goods that have been left according to instruction and not delivered over the recipients threshold are left at the senders risk
- Next Week Day Delivery by 12 noon is charged at a flat rate of £12. Orders for Next Day delivery must be received by 2pmon the preceding week day (excluding bank holidays) so that we have time to pack them.
- Saturday Delivery by 12 noon is charged at a flat rate of £20. Orders for Saturday Delivery must be received by 2pm on Friday afternoon (or by 2pm on Thursday before the Easter weekend).
- Tasting Ticket(s) will be despatched by First Class Royal Mail (free of charge) to your selected delivery address within 2 working days of placing your order.

Delivery to other areas - additional charges
- Deliveries to the Isle of Wight are £5 per case - Northern Ireland and Scilly Isles are £10 per case - The main Scottish Islands and Isle of Man are £15 per case.
You should allow up to 6 working days for delivery to these areas.
Please note: we do not export from the UK.
If you don’t like any wine that you buy from us, for whatever reason, return it within a month of purchase and we shall refund your money without question or delay.
Refunds for Tasting Tickets: If you need to arrange a refund at any time prior to us posting your ticket(s), please ring 01743 234455. Once we've posted the ticket(s), if you are unable to attend for any reason, please let us know as soon as you can and wherever possible, we will attempt to resell your ticket(s) on your behalf.
Please note that once we've despatched them, refunds can only be issued in the instance that we are able to resell your ticket(s).
