Pale yellow with olive green and gold reflections. Powerfully aromatic with a distinctive flor character, fresh and intense. Aromas of fresh bread and hints of almond are accompanied by savoury flavours and a long, clean citrus finish.
In October 2012, head winemaker Antonio Flores selected 100 Tio Pepe barrels in preparation for the release of Tio Pepe Fino En Rama. Since then he has carefully monitored their progress. The autumn was warm and rainy followed by mild winter with only light rainfall; these were ideal conditions for the yeast, producing a consistent, compact and healthy layer of flor within the barrels. Of the original 100, 67 barrels were then selected for their finesse and intensity, evident in both the aroma and palate.
