Black Cow Pure Milk Vodka, England, 40% vol
A beautiful, smooth, refined vodka made from milk! Well the whey left after cheese production to be more acurate. It is well balanced and even just a touch creamy. Comes looking like an old fashioned Gold Top milk bottle.
|Bottle Size||70 cl|
|Food Match||Sevruga Caviar on toast|
While there are sometimes very subtle flavours, vodka’s charms to me are all about texture. Black Cow is made from whey, , the by-product of cheese making, and has a lovely creamy mouthfeel with none of the acrid burn found in cheap, grain-based vodkas. I like it as a shot, freezer-cold, as a quick aperitif.
Made in Dorset from the milk of grass-fed cows, this is very smooth and broad with hints of vanilla and toffee, as well as some sweet creamy notes. There’s richness, softness and real depth of flavour here.
