Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett, Max Ferd. Richter, Mosel 2015
Dirk Richter's wines are made in wonderful deep cellars at Mülheim. This has the typical earthy/mineral character of Brauneberg wines together with tremendous richness of fruit and lovely acidity.

The 2015 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett is super smoky, precise and delicate on the nose that represents a very elegant and reductive style. Round and lush on the palate, this is a sweet and mouth-filling Kabinett with good intensity and grip but almost a monster compared to the lean and filigreed Kabinett #4 bottling.
Intense apricot/orange aroma, medium dry on the palate, lively and still quite full – viscous – in the mouth and an overlay of spicy minerality. Very much a baby and will repay a few more years in bottle. GV.
