Buffalo Trace Distillery

Buffalo Trace Distillery

Buffalo Trace is the oldest continuously operating distillery in America, even during prohibition it was permitted to make whiskey for 'medicinal purposes'.

Their early history dates back to 1787 and 'the whose who' of their owners and master distillers is a roll call of names familiar to Bourbon drinkers the world over, starting with Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr and carried on today by Harlen Wheatley, Buffalo Trace's sixth Master Distiller since the Civil War.
