Basa Blanco, Rueda, Telmo Rodríguez 2018
‘Verdejo is sometimes spoken of as Spain’s answer to sauvignon blanc but it is less shouty. This is a great example, boosted with a dollop of viura – broad like a fat blade of grass, with flavours of lemon peel and green peach. The perfect aperitif.’ ✶Star Buy✶ Best Wines for Summer
Victoria Moore, The Telegraph, 08/06/2019

Altano Blanco, Douro 2017
‘The Symington’s most widely-available brand of Douro table wine. Very fresh nose is dominated at the moment by the minor Muscat ingredient. Super fresh and excellent texture... Good, solid commercial wine with some faint suggestion of high elevation stoniness. Quite persistent for a wine at this price."
Jancis Robinson,, 20/01/2019

House of Certain Views Pinot Grigio, Hunter Valley, Margan 2017
‘Andrew Margan is a very well-travelled winemaker. His PG draws on one familiar inspiration and one which is as utterly inspired as it is preposterous. Smooth, creamy, textural and more indulgently layered than hosts of Pinot Grigios from Trentino-Alto Adige, in northern Italy, this is a downright delicious ten quid white wine. Every single person will love it. The story behind the name comes from when Andrew used to work in Bordeaux – he drove past Vieux Château Certan every day (one of my favourite properties in the world) and the inspiration for the name of this wine stems from the mis-translation of that property – brilliantly memorable!‘
Matthew Jukes, Moneyweek, 29/03/2019

Tanners Cava Brut, Traditional Method
‘A wonderfully creamy cava that creeps in at just over £10. This has a refreshing appley character and would be great for drinks parties or to enjoy at home. The complex taste is a real eye opener – and it’s not often you can say that about cava.’
Will Lyons, The Sunday Times, 02/06/2019

Pleno Tempranillo, Navarra 2017
‘Tempranillo is the rioja grape, but this is from the northern Spanish region of Navarra. It comes in fresh and tangy and then goes well beyond the ‘cheap red’ brief, to fill out with darker flavours, structure and depth. Very smart.
Victoria Moore, The Telegraph, 09/03/2019

Montepulciano d’Abruzzo,Terre dei Vestini, Col del Mondo 2015
‘Serious, hearty and full flavoured.’
Olly Smith, The Daily Mail, 07/03/19

‘An utterly joyful and very moreish find, a juicy, oak-aged montepulciano d’abruzzo that made a feast of a plate of homemade venison ragu with pappardelle.’
Victoria Moore, The Telegraph, 03/03/2019
