Growers' Champagnes

Traditionally these small, family-run operations, such as André Clouet and Michel Arnould, used to supply the big houses with grapes or wines. More recently some have decided to go it alone. Often this means you have a wine as goods as, or even better than the well-known houses, but without having to fund their marketing activity so these are some of the best value wines in Champagne, punching well above their relatively modest price tag.
