Château du Galoupet is a large estate of 165 hectares with 72 of them under vine. Located on the Mediterranean coast the property is surrounded by local flora such as palm, citrus, eucalyptus and oleanders.
They are one of the few properties in this region to have an underground arched cellar. Modern wine making techniques are employed in the winery and they produce some 350,000 bottles annually. 60% of this production is rosé, 30% red and 10% white. Since 1955 they have been entitled to use the term ‘cru classé’ on their labels. The soil here is schistous and chalky. The General Manager is Fernand Luciani and the oenologist Gilles Bascle.
