Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste

Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste

Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is one of the oldest properties in the Médoc with mentions going back to the Middle ages. Today it is in the hands of the Borie family after Jean-Eugène Borie bought it in 1978 and immediately installed his son, François-Xavier, to run the property.

François-Xavier now leaves the day to day running of the property to his daughter Emiline. The Property was owned by one family for much of its life, from the 16th century to 1920. The estate is about 90 ha of which 58 are planted with vines. The Bories are aided by an excellent team comprising: Vineyard Manager Antonio Flores; Oenologist, Eric Boissenot; who is assisted in R & D by Christel Spinner; and finally their cellar master since 1981, Philippe Gouze. As well as the Grand Vin they also make an excellent second wine under the Lacoste Borie label.
