The polished and generous second wine of Château Talbot in a Bordeaux vintage that didn't generate much enthusiasm at the outset but which has produced some wines, like this, that have matured attractively. It's a two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon, one-third Merlot blend with fleshy blackcurrant fruit, meaty richness, cedary spice and ripe tannins. Enjoy it now or any time over the next five years.
