Chianti Classico, Riecine, Italy 2018
Riecine is a wonderful small estate based at Gaiole in one of the most mountainous parts of Chianti. This is a Chianti Classico textbook that is stuffed with lovely, sweet, succulent fruit and deliciously soft tannins.
Aldonia 100, Rioja, Spain 2016
A surprisingly delicate nose with hints of lavender and violets as well as thyme amongst fresh, ripe strawberries. Smooth on the palate as well as fresh and long.
Churton Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand 2016
Full-flavored Pinot that exhibits masses of black cherry and raspberry fruit with a spicy character that epitomises great Marlborough Pinot. This wine is complex on the palate with soft, fine tannins and a very persistent finish.
Domaine Bruno Sorg Pinot Gris, Alsace, France 2018
Rich, full wine with typical Pinot Gris fatness and spice but it also has the acidity on the finish to give balance. François Sorg is achieving excellent balance to go with the richness his wines have always had.
Journey's End 'Destination' Chardonnay, Stellenbosch, South Africa 2017
Full and rich Chardonnay with superb fruit and well-integrated oak. Good freshness keeps it elegant and attractive.
Fiano di Avellino, Terre Dora, Terredora Di Paolo, Italy 2019
From one of the best white DOCG areas in Italy and a great producer, whose vines used to supply the famous Mastroberardino label, this has wonderful natural smokiness, masses of spice, hazelnuts and appley freshness too. Handpicked by our Buying Director, Stephen Crosland, and all stellar wines in their own right, this is the perfect curation for those who enjoy sampling something a little different.
