Domaine Jean-Marie Penet

Domaine Jean-Marie Penet

Domaine Jean-Marie Penet is a family-run, 40 hectare vineyard, planted on the Oisily plateau above Touraine. Here, Sauvignon Blanc grows on free-draining, mineral-packed soils to produce the estate’s characteristically fresh and aromatic wines.

Gamay is the other principal grape variety grown, though there are also plantings of Chardonnay, Pineau d’Aunis, Cabernet Franc and the local grape Cot. The domaine is run by Anne-Sophie Meurgey-Penet and her Burgundian husband Frédéric, who have adopted an environmentally sensitive approach to vine growing and use the minimum of chemicals.
