Jean Durup Père et Fils (Les Valery)

Jean Durup Père et Fils (Les Valery)

Jean Durup has assembled the largest domaine in Chablis, owning a staggering 170 hectares, largely by acquiring and re-planting land that was abandoned after WWII. He makes pure, classic 'terroir wines' showing steely minerality without any use of oak.

All his wines undergo malolactic fermentations, and are impeccably made in modern cellars at Maligny. The Durups' renovation of the château opposite is proving a longer term project.
