Flashy, sexy big wine made from 100% Sangiovese grapes drawn from prime vineyards in Chianti and Montecucco near Montalcino. Black chocolate flavours over-lay superb cherry fruit against a background of velvety tannins. Brilliant!
‘Sangiovese. Light cherry red. Light red fruit but both sweet and meaty on the nose. Terrific intensity and freshness, really intense but without weight or heavy-handed winemaking. Vibrant, tangy and mouth-watering. Delicious and so youthful.’

‘The 2013 ‘La Gioia’ is another impressive Rosso from Riecine in this vintage. Bright and vibrant, this Sangiovese opens to aromatics of red berries, dried cherries, tobacco, licorice, wild herbs and exotic spices all coming together beautifully. This medium body is fine and elegant, with lovely structure and poise backed by a core of racy acidity, which persists through the fresh, lively finish.
