Domaine La Condamine L'Evêque is located at Nézignan L'Evêque, a medieval village set above the River Hérault between Sète and Béziers. It was set up by owners Guy and Marie-Claude Bascou in 1978. Today it is their son, Guilhem who makes the wines.

The 65 ha estate grows 60 ha of vines with a wide range of grape varieties including the white varities of Viognier, Picpoul, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat, Petit Manseng, and red varieties of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cinsaut and Marselan. Vines grow on Villefranchien soils (clay soils containing small pebbles, stones and quartz) mixed with the remains of fossilised shells. Vines are Cordon de Royat pruned to give good leaf area and maximise optimum vine and fruit development. Biodiversity and water quality is being aided on the estate by the planting of Mediterranean hedges.
